BLACKPINK‘s Lisa recently took to social media to announce she will release a new solo single, “Rockstar,” on June 27th.
Lisa shared a graphic featuring the title of the track on her Instagram Story and confirmed the release date as well.
The Thai rapper, singer, and dancer had teased the track several times at the beginning of this month, sharing a snippet on TikTok.
Lisa reportedly set a Guinness World Record by gaining a million followers in just two hours and 18 minutes after the teaser about her new release.
She then posted another snippet on TikTok, teasing the song’s title. She was heard saying “Baby, I’m a rock star” in the clip.
“Rockstar” will mark Lisa’s first release since signing with RCA Records in anticipation of her upcoming solo era, inking a deal in partnership with her own LLOUD company.
“Having made numerous achievements with her album to become a global pop artist, Lisa’s ‘Rockstar’ is expected to garner listeners’ attention, especially with the backing of RCA Records,” LLOUD said in a press release.
